The meaning of Seva…

Starting this month I will be teaching a class once a month for free at Dahlonega Spa Resort. The name of this free class is Seva Sunday. What does that mean you might ask?

“Selfless service or Seva (Punjabi: ਸੇਵਾ) is a service which is performed without any expectation of result or award for the performing it. Such services can be performed to benefit other human beings or society.”

Simply put, I am offering this once a month FREE class to any and all that can make it. We have room for 30 people. Dahlonega Spa Resort has donated the space and I have donated my time and teaching skills. This is an experiential class for every level. Each class will have a theme, offer some insight into Yoga philosophy and history.

I am greatly excited about this opportunity to partner with another Yoga studio/retreat location right here in Dahlonega Georgia. I have always believed that high tides float all boats. Yoga studios need to work together to raise the vibration of every community they are present in.

My next Seva Sunday class is November 13th at 4pm. This will be a Mixed Level Class in which we will build some heat during some delicious slow flow and then we will settle into some restorative postures. I hope that you will join me if you can. Feel free to contact Dahlonega Spa Resort as they do offer a Day Pass.

Also, please stay after class to sit on the deck with me, look at the gorgeous North Georgia Mountains and possibly order a glass of wine, beer, soda, mineral water…tea..and just enjoy some Yoga Community fellowship.

Much love and see you on the mat soon,
