My dream of a Yoga Center here in Dahlonega!

Dreams, we all have them. Most are wishes upon stars, errant thoughts or sometimes contemplations of “what if” but me, well I tend to just jump right in after them. One of my inner codes is similar to words from a Tom Petty song:

“Yeah runnin’ down a dream
That never would come to me
Workin’ on a mystery, goin’ wherever it leads
Runnin’ down a dream”.

Our lives are full of dreams, passions, desires but my dream for the last year has been largely focused on our Yoga Community. The studio continues to thrive and the Yoga Community of Dahlonega needs more space, therefore I thought that perhaps I could share my dream and overall vision for what I want to create for us here in Dahlonega and beyond.

I want us to have a Yoga Center. A location near the square downtown with ample parking and ample studio space. I would like the NEW Yoga Center to be a place where we have studio space for Yoga AND space for massage therapists, estheticians and an on site therapy program. A place that you can go to and relax mind, body and spirit. A place where you can go even if you do not practice the vigorous postures of Yoga but you DO practice the other aspects of Yoga. In essence I see a Yoga Therapy center. A place to heal mind, body and soul. 

That’s really as detailed as I can get right now. I know that the location needs to remain in town. I know that we need access to parking and I know that if we are going to create something this awesome we will all have to have a collective vision and dream. ONE being can do a lot, but all of us combined will be able to do so much more! 

If you would like to know more about how I see us growing just ask me, I LOVE to talk about this dream. However, more than anything, I would love for each and every single person in our Yoga Community to LOVE this dream and help make this dream a reality. We want a space that is completely ours. A space in a free standing building. No one above us or that could potentially affect the schedule. A center that allows Yoga Teachers, Physical Therapists and other professionals to do workshops here instead of Atlanta. We want a space that is a radiant light right here in our lovely heart of the mountains.

I like to dream big and I don’t hold back. I know that WE can make this happen. I know that WE can create something that will be a beacon for other students, teachers and more. Together we can create things that we are not able to imagine right now, but more important than anything, is just throwing it out there. So here it is. I want to create a Yoga Center for ALL of us. I would like to create a space for well being on many levels. Most importantly, I would like to create this space for each of you.

So, keep dreaming, looking, runnin’ down any and all dreams because the mystery at the end is usually what brings the greatest joy to the dreamer and all those in the community around he/she that dared to dream. Dreams come true everyday and I am excited to share this dream of mine:)

On that note, another bit of Tom Petty and my inner monologue:
